Some doodle and a new tumblr

Yesterday I felt quite personal work oriented - not that I'm not most of the time, but theses past months have been dedicated to commissioned pieces and uni - and so I made this little doodle, for fun. Later that day I worked on designing my new tumblr that is solely for my artwork. I have had a tumblr since almost 4 years, I think (this one) and sporadically I would post my work in there, and I would feel it wasn't a nice continuity to what I would post usually (vintage picture of fast food, weird old photographs, nostalgia) so I made the leap yesterday. I think it did quite well, I think I was featured on tumblr's radar? That's the most fame on tumblr I'll ever have. lol !

L'incroyable poncho vénéneux

A fun little project I've worked on for a secret group on facebook. She is some sort of villain, wearing a poncho made of a giant poisonous mushroom. You can get one too, for 4 easy payments of 1000$ !

PS: added the link to my instagram account in my sidebar :) let's be friend (if we aren't already). Instagram is pretty much my favorite social media thing in the world.

Oh Comely Magazine - Issue 15



The exclusive illustration I've created for this month's issue of Oh Comely Magazine. The theme given was to illustrate one of our pet peeves. I guess most of you can relate to this one. Ain't it annoying to be asked to smile more when getting your picture taken? Maybe you don't want to smile, or maybe you are ACTUALLY smiling and it's not enough ? Still, a little smile is still better than a forced one ;)


Miserable and Worthless - Issue 1 



Again, an exclusive illustration created for this beautiful zine innitiated by Tuesday Bassen and Lindsay Eyth and featuring lots of my favorite illustrators ! This issue is titled "Mischief", so I decided to go with something autobiographical, and a bit embarrassing. I hope this homeless man has forgiven me :')


The Scribble Project



I've been familiar with The Scribble Project for many years now, so I was super excited when Lisa asked me to be featured there ! She totally got my vibe about 1998. I don't know, I'm just obsessed with this year, more than any other late 90's year such as 1997, or 1999. 1998 was a gem.

SID LEE Collective Blackboard Day in collaboration with MASSIVart

Back in january I was invited to be a featured artist at SID LEE's collective blackboard day ! Loved my experience there. We were asked to improvise so I came up with this funny scene of monkeys in space being attacked by cute yet threatening creatures. I don't know, I just had monkeys a lot in mind on that day and I wanted to make something humorous ;)

FASA's new website

Here is a proposed website layout I've made for my student alliance. The website coding and all the technical stuff was executed by Nilovna Bascunan-Vasquez :)

Yiara Magazine : Issue 1

So we finally released Yiara Magazine's first issue just two weeks ago and the result is pretty nice ! If you are around Concordia University there still might be some copies left for you to grab. It's all free and super nice quality :)

By the way, if you happen to be an undergraduate student next year and you are interested in feminist art and art history, we have open positions to be filled (mine is too, as I'm graduating this summer.) All the infos are here.

PS: By the way theses pictures are pretty meh, I couldn't get anything to photograph well today. Sorry about that :)
